Help a Family
our Family in Africa
“One day a man was walking along the beach, when he noticed a boy hurriedly picking up and gently throwing things into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, “Young man, what are you doing?” The boy replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.” The man laughed to himself and said, “Don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make any difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said,
“I made a difference to that one.””
I have know Sheikh for close to ten years. I have watched him pull himself up from collecting wood to becoming a tour guide at a local national forest.
He never once asked me for help of any kind other than advice. He lost his job because of covid. Additionally his mother had a stroke and was hospitalized.
I helped him stabilize and now we are looking for help from our bigger one world family to help them create a better life so they can continue to help their village.
He and his family can help the others in his village and you can directly see how your support can help this family Thrive.
Ways You Can Help
Our goal is to use this webpage to raise funds to help this family get the basic resources to be able to support themselves and help their village build it back better. We will follow Sheikh and his family through getting power for lights, food for nourishment and create sustainability through education.
Solar Power and A fan
I asked Sheikh in Late November what the banking situation is. He investigated and we will be setting him up with a bank account so people can help him directly. For now please connect with Sheikh on Facebook, Email, or Use the Terangas webpage explained on this page

Solar Power and A fan
Most immediately we need solar power.
His mother had a Stoke earlier this year and suffers in the heat. A regular fan consumes enough energy to burn through their electric credits (they pre pay and must limit their electricity use)
I told him to look for a set up that could run the needs for his family.
