Founder Story – Shu
A Life Dedicated to Healing, Teaching, and Parenting
Shu’s healing journey began at 13, learning massage from his father. By high school graduation, he was already helping people find relief and went straight into massage school, becoming licensed. For over three decades, he has practiced hands-on healing, mastering dozens of modalities, working in world-class Florida spas, and serving as lead therapist at a top Alaska spa. His work revealed a simple truth: when pain leaves the body, the mind and spirit can heal.

A Teacher Through and Through
Shu is also a lifelong educator. He began professionally in 1999 as a preschool teacher and went on to teach massage therapy in Florida and Alaska for 17 years. For the past four years, he has been a regular substitute teacher in a private elementary school.
From preschoolers to college students, Shu has trained every age group from cradle through career. His teaching reflects a simple truth: people thrive on clarity, encouragement, and tools they can use right away.
From Pain to Purpose – Creating Lifestyle Architecture
Shu’s curiosity led him into psychology, philosophy, and human behavior, earning certifications in CBT, NLP, neuropsychotherapy, and more, while exploring Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and archetypal psychology.
Not a licensed therapist but someone who saw people suffering without timely support—especially in Alaska—Shu chose to bridge that gap by teaching awareness, resilience, and vitality.
From this lifelong study, he created Lifestyle Architecture—a framework blending modern science, ancient wisdom, and lived experience—and authored Lifestyle Architecture: How to Build a Life of Purpose, Freedom, and Sustainable Happiness as a guide for anyone seeking change.
Fatherhood – The Ultimate Proof
Beyond professional achievements, Shu’s greatest classroom has been fatherhood. As a single parent, he and his co-parent transformed a once-divided home into a model of cooperation and respect. Today, their daughter thrives—confident, helpful, kind, and self-reliant in every social setting.
She is living proof that Shu’s principles don’t just work in theory—they work in real life.
Passion, Purpose and Duty
Shu has witnessed suffering firsthand: clients burdened by pain, communities with too little mental health support, and workplaces drained by stress. He has also seen the transformation that occurs when people are given the right tools: healing, peace, and possibility.
That is why he has dedicated his life to the trifecta of wellness—body, mind, and education—to guide individuals, families, and workplaces into greater alignment, resilience, and vitality.
Shu’s work is not found anywhere else because it has been forged through lived experience—on massage tables, in classrooms, and in his own living room as a father.
For those who have tried everything else, Shu’s work offers something rare: a lived philosophy that can shift lives.
Shu's contributions to the field of wellness have been showcased through his impactful presentations at notable conferences, including the Governors Safety and Health Conference, and through his work with organizations like the Covenant House
