This isn’t just emotional learning. It’s cognitive empowerment—
AND it’s also therapeutic guidance, character coaching, and lifestyle design for kids.
Mindful M3 blends the heart of therapy with the clarity of science and the magic of childhood.
Every lesson helps your child become more self-aware, more emotionally skilled, more resilient—and more themselves.
This isn’t fluff. It’s a functional framework—simple enough for a child, powerful enough to shape a life.
Guided by three charming characters—Maya Mindset, Milo Manners, and Max Movement—your child will explore how to manage emotions, solve problems, speak with kindness, move their body with purpose, and take responsibility for their thoughts and actions.
WHY IT’S DIFFERENT (AND BETTER)
Most SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) programs stop at feelings.
Mindful M3 goes deeper—into the brain, psychology AND a big focus on relationships
MINDSET + MANNERS + MOVEMENT = LIFESTYLE
THIS IS THE FORMULA.
THIS IS THE MIRROR.
THIS IS THE MAP.
In just three words, we’ve distilled the building blocks of a healthy, confident, purpose-driven human being.
The brilliance of Mindful M3 is not in how much it teaches—it’s in how clearly and kindly it connects everything your child needs to thrive.

Why now
What the data says
The need is real. In 2023, ~40% of U.S. high-schoolers reported persistent sadness or hopelessness; rates were higher for girls. One in five seriously considered suicide, and nearly 1 in 10 attempted.
Adversity is common—and costly. Among U.S. adults, ~64% report at least one adverse childhood experience (ACE) and ~1 in 6 report four or more, which is linked to lifelong health, learning, and safety impacts. CDC
School safety and distress remain serious. In 2023, 19% were bullied at school, 9% were threatened or injured with a weapon on campus, and 13% skipped school because they felt unsafe; about 1 in 6 were electronically bullied. CDCMC Evidence
SEL works. A landmark meta-analysis of 213 programs found an 11-percentile-point academic lift alongside better behavior and attitudes; follow-ups show benefits persisting 6 months to 18 years after programs end. PubMed+1
And it pays off. Economic analyses estimate roughly $11 in long-term benefits for every $1 invested in quality SEL. Program-level benefit–cost reviews (e.g., Second Step) also show positive expected returns.

Our feedback helps shape a curriculum that strengthens felt safety, boosts focus, and grows calmer classrooms and kinder communities. A small shift in your time today can ripple into steadier kids, stronger families, and schools that feel safe the moment a child walks in.
This is not just another educational program. It is designed to cut off the root causes of struggle before they harden into lifelong pain — the kind of pain we see too often in Alaska, where homelessness touches far too many lives. Mindful M3 is built to give children the foundation of resilience, self-worth, and emotional intelligence that can prevent those struggles before they even begin.
You are not just evaluating a curriculum. You are helping plant seeds for a future where fewer children fall through the cracks, where more young people grow into thriving adults, and where communities are stronger because we invested early.
Step 3: Our Vision
Our vision for Mindful M3 is bold and clear:
- First, to make it a solid and reliable social-emotional learning curriculum for homeschools. We have already begun this journey—approaching Denali Peak Homeschool, which gave a warm endorsement during a soft launch on May 22.
- Next, to bring it into schools of all kinds—private, magnet, and other organizations ready to adopt a whole-child approach.
- Ultimately, to expand its impact through cartoons, books, and educational toys that allow children to live and play inside the Mindful M3 world.
Why Social-Emotional Learning—and Why Mindful M3
A Hero’s Journey Kids Can Live
Every child is the hero of a story in progress. The “dragon” might be a big feeling, a conflict with a friend, a tough assignment, or a restless body. Heroes need a clear path, reliable tools, and trusted guides. Without a shared practice, emotions run the day and learning stalls. With one, kids feel safe inside their own skin, connect with others, and lead themselves with confidence.
Mindful M3 turns SEL from concepts into daily heroic habits. We weave three essentials—Mindset (how I see), Manners (how I relate), and Movement (how I regulate)—into short, repeatable practices kids remember under pressure. Our friendly guides—Maya the wise owl, Milo the compassionate deer, and Max the freedom fox—coach children through micro-routines that travel from classroom to car ride to bedtime.
What Makes Mindful M3 Different
Created by an educator-clinician—and a kid.
Mindful M3 blends decades of classroom and clinical experience with tools that actually work—like CBT, breathwork, body awareness, and sensory resets. Developed alongside my 9-year-old daughter, every routine is pressure-tested in real life: morning rushes, playground drama, homework meltdowns, and bedtime wind-downs.
Therapy tools, made kid-ready.
Evidence-based practices used in private sessions are translated into playful, two-minute routines that kids can remember, repeat, and rely on.
A shared language—with respect for the young, capable mind.
Mindful M3 bridges adult-level insight and child-friendly clarity. Clinical concepts like “subjective and objective” become “feelings and facts,” giving children real tools and real vocabulary. We don’t water it down—we lift them up. This approach respects the developing brain and builds dignity, confidence, and shared understanding between kids and grown-ups.
Experiential, not just educational.
This isn’t just a lesson—it’s a lifestyle. Kids don’t just learn about emotional regulation; they practice it in the moment. From movement-based resets to quick breathing tools, every routine is designed for immediate use in real situations.
Built with kids, not just for them.
Co-created with a fourth grader, Mindful M3 speaks their language. Plain words, relatable visuals, and peer-tested timing help routines stick—at school, at home, and everywhere in between.
Made with a 9-year-old, for 9-year-olds
Mindful M3 is co-created with my 9-year-old daughter. She pressure-tests every routine in real life—morning rush, recess conflicts, homework time, bedtime wind-down—so the language lands, the timing fits, and the visuals invite kids to join in. This is a curriculum designed with children, not merely for them.
The result
Calmer classrooms. Kinder relationships. Stronger focus. Safer choices. Heroes who can name their state, shift their state, and choose their next step—on purpose.
Bring Mindful M3 to your learners. If you lead a school, homeschool, or youth program, let’s connect for a quick conversation and sample lesson. We’ll show how M3 turns “teach it once” into “live it every day”—so every child can lead their own heroic story.
